Standard Steel Inc has joined with Alaskan Wind Industries to sells and installs many different brands of Photovoltaic Systems, often referred to as solar electric systems. On Alaska's Latitude, the average amount of solar hours throughout the entire year, is 3 hours per day. This is without cloud coverage or shading. Because most of the solar production will be generated in the summer months, our team usually installs these as hybrid systems in conjunction with wind technologies.
Whether it is a large solar array that provides a significant amount of a facility’s electricity and supplies energy back to the Alaska grid, or a few solar panels installed in a remote location to power critical equipment or supplement other power generation, Standard Steel Inc. can objectively analyze each building and property to determine the best course of action based on budget and energy needs.
