Alaskan Wind Industries - Renewable Energy Internship



Purpose of Position:

We would like to open our doors to an internship position in Renewable Energies. To keep our communities enhancing and our youth learning as our economy changes towards clean energy, these interns will attend our city council meetings with staff, develop wind test models, learning the RE field and more.

Requirements:

  • ' Good verbal and written communication skills
  • ' Able to organize time effectively
  • ' Strong detail and organizational skills
  • ' Self-directed and takes initiative
  • ' The willingness to learn solar equipment & wind technologies
  • ' The ability to work well with the community
Level of Education required to meet minimum qualifications:

Must be a junior in our local high school educational system or above. College students encouraged.

Certifications Required: None. this is a learning experience

Physical Requirements:

Physical effort may include outside help with lifting, carrying and moving large pounds and more in the field.

Working Conditions:

Working at shop or warehouse on local RE projects as well as attending installations throughout Alaska.
