This little turbine has been extensively tested at a Class 5 wind site that is extremely turbulent. This included a full DAQ system that recorded wind speed, rotor Rpm, Stator Temp, power out, and voltage.


Chinooks Extreme version of this small wind micro-turbine generates power at low wind speeds, but sustains severe weather conditions. This is THE turbine for EXTREME conditions like Alaska- Marine to Polar Environments. The Chinook does not hide from or shut down in high wind conditions. Sealed bearings with a mercotac sealed yaw assembly provides protection from the elements, Perfect for renewable energy systems, RV's, boats, electric gates/fencing, stock water warming, or the backyard hobbyist.
