VERTICAL AXIS WIND TURBINE

The Vertical-Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) is an option for Alaska's remote cabins or off grid locations.

Some key features of vertical axis:
  • Generates electricity in winds as low as 4 mph (1.5 m/s), however with very little amps (better for off grid applications)
  • Requires very little maintenance
  • Makes very little sound. Very similar to Horizontal Wind Turbines.
  • Many different sizes and shapes for each location
