VERTICAL AXIS WIND TURBINE
The Vertical-Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) is an option for Alaska's remote cabins or off grid locations.Some key features of vertical axis:
- Generates electricity in winds as low as 4 mph (1.5 m/s), however with very little amps (better for off grid applications)
- Requires very little maintenance
- Makes very little sound. Very similar to Horizontal Wind Turbines.
- Many different sizes and shapes for each location
