Kingspan purchased Proven Energy and its assets in the fall of 2011, key personnel were retained and production was quickly resumed. Kingspan relabled the company and are marketing the 6kW and 3kW wind turbines that were the backbone of Proven Energies wind turbine line up. Kingspan retained Proven's patented hinged hub design, and permanent magnet, direct drive system.
