The Kenai Peninsula-based Alaskan Wind Industries, a leading installer of renewable energy, earned recognition from the National Environmental Hall of Fame. Recognizing the community's leading environmentalists, the Kenai Peninsula Environmental Hall of Fame chose Nadia Daggett to be inducted as a member this year.
The National Environmental Hall of Fame recognizes the most outstanding organizations and individuals for their longstanding commitment to helping create a green, sustainable planet and response to climate change. Criteria for Hall of Fame award recipients include recommendations by peers, longevity in the environmental field and overall impact.
